A major ministry of International Celebration Association is establishing Christian lending libraries. Most of the libraries are in the river villages where books have opened up a whole new world of spiritual learning opportunities for the people. These villages have no electricity; therefore, television, radio and the internet do not dominate their time. We build libraries and stock them with between 200 and 500 books depending on the size of the village.
Our books come from a variety of sources. Several churches have donated their entire libraries when they realized they weren’t being utilized. Many other churches conducted book drives specifically for our ministry and many individual families have donated books. Thank you letters from people in the villages have been heartwarming. One man in particular read nine books in the first six months that his village had a library. We accept donations of CHILDREN’S BOOKS and ADULT CHRISTIAN BOOKS.
